The Very Disappointing Food Experienced At The Bali Beach Shack

The Bali Beach Shack restaurant and cabaret show located on Jalan Sahadewa No. 7 in Legian. There was no street parking here, but taxis are widely used to get there.

Food Quality

I had chicken parmigiana that came with chips and a side salad. It wasn’t fantastic, edible yes but not as great as it was so soggy too, not exactly pleased as the reviews raved about the food. Lee had the steak pie, chips, and mash and disliked every part of it. He was so put off by the taste that he didn’t even finish, we also ordered garlic bread, and that was also not bad, nothing to rave about but it went down okay.

We decided not to have pudding.

Value for Money

It was pricey, and I kind of begrudged paying the high price on the bill. But maybe the cabaret show would make up for the less than appealing food.

Atmosphere

This place was full; I have to say it was mostly full of Australians. The night we went most people were supping down shots and pints of cocktails like there was no tomorrow. It just felt a little uncomfortable because everyone around me was loud and drunk.

The show started, and the drag queens or transgender performers were excellent. Some were better than others, but in the spirit of a cheeky performance, it was spot on.

Overall the show was good, the food wasn’t fantastic, but the whole place was just a little bit grubby, broken matt’s, scuffed walls, broken furniture.

If they could just spend a bit of money on giving the singers an environment, they deserve.
