A Taste of Jamaica at Boom Burger in London

It was in London for my (Lee) birthday, and the lovely Tina had looked at going to Portobello Road the day we arrive.  She had looked online for great eating places and had found boom burger.

OMG, we had chosen not only the day of London pride but also one of the days that Portobello market was on.  This doesn’t sound so bad, but match that with having the BIGGEST suitcase (imagine going away for a fortnight, and that’s the size).  Meant getting through the crowd was eventful.

Enough about the journey, lets talk Boom Burger!

Oh wow was it incredible.  The Jamaican music (albeit very loud), was awesome and with the open kitchen, you can watch them tossing the plantain chips in the salt once they had been fried.

I ordered the chicken burger with plantain chips (both as a side and inside the burger), Tina had the Boom Burger itself (Medium), yes that’s right a British establishment asking how they want their burger cooked!!!

The total came to just over £20.00, but this did not include drinks as we tend to drink regular British H20 when dining out.

A Taste of Jamaica at Boom Burger in LondonAlthough small, and obviously very busy (even just 30 minutes after they had opened) thefood arrived pretty rapid.  The picture above does not do the food justice in just how amazingly tasty it was.
