So we had a dessert thingy meal deal.  This meal deal consisted of two large pizzas, a garlic breadstick, and a chocolate thingy dessert. ...

So it was somewhat spare of the moment, but we decided to take a drive to this beautiful little town. We were staying in Cairns (about an hour away) and thought we would take a relaxing trip to this beautiful city.

Well, we had a blast on Cairns but it honestly it didn't start off so well. On our first day, we had just driven up from Mission Beach; we decided to blow off our accommodation and pay to stay up here in Cairns for the following two days.

So we were driving up from Brisbane through Bundaberg and up to Cairns and beyond.  So this was the first stop off on our epic 5,000km round trip.

To go to the Cairns Crystal Cascade, you need a car. We didn't find any buses going up to this location. Showing us that it is one of those local hidden gems.

We made a booking for lunchtime but I think we ended up arriving around 20mins early, but it wasn't a problem for this quaint restaurant. We did sit at the window, but the view wasn't the best, unfortunately, as it was a building site, but there is plenty to keep us amused inside.
