A Random Lunch Before Visiting the Caves of Nerja at Cafeteria Mitasol

This lovely little restaurant is a stone’s throw from Nerja beachfront. We parked up just down from the main town centre and just walked down to the sea and came across this quaint place.

We were lucky to get a space for the car as most of the street parking was being used but as its so close to the centre of town and the beach, there must be local transportation available.

Food Quality

I indulged and had a pizza, it had a bolognese topping, mainly because I’ve never had carrots on a pizza before, and it was a complete novelty to me (yes! I am a small child hehe but why not expand my horizon). One word, delicious! It was so tasty and was had made from scratch. I was pleased, as my experience with pizzas in Spain had been hit and miss at this point.

Lee had a burger with salad and chips. He thoroughly enjoyed his meal too, his burger was handmade which will always win you points with us, and it was clear his sides were freshly prepared also.

Value for Money

We were a little dubious about sitting down here, not because of the surroundings but because the food was so very reasonably priced. I suppose I have a slight prejudice about cheap cost, meaning cheap quality but that’s certainly was not the case here. The entire cost was around fifteen Euros for our food and drinks. Amazing right!

If we ever go back to Nerja, I would love to go back there.

Atmosphere

As we sat down, I had my concerns, but as we ordered and waited for our food arrived, this small restaurant became busier and with the sun shining and exceedingly good company it was a lovely couple of hours eating and basking in the sun.

The staff were helpful and very accommodating, and we didn’t wait too long for our food to be ready, a lovely place and one I recommend.
