Our Few Hours in Port Douglas

So it was somewhat spare of the moment, but we decided to take a drive to this beautiful little town. We were staying in Cairns (about an hour away) and thought we would take a relaxing trip to this beautiful city.

It was evident to us that this town was a lot more affluent than is neighbouring city of Cairns (well kind of neighbours), everywhere was a combination of large houses, immaculate gardens, beautiful views, and well-finished homes.

We climbed Orchid hill to the very top, and the view was spectacular. Even on this slightly misty murky day, the view was stunning and made both me and Lee stood in awe for longer then we should. Isn’t it funny how an awe-inspiring view can make you ponder the things in your life?

We ventured back into the main town; this mostly consisted of restaurants, cafes, bars, and boutique shops and of course wanted to indulge a little and tried a local Ice-cream. Check out the parlours review right here.

It was a short a sweet visit, but it was a stopping point if you’re thinking of travelling up that far and like the finer things in life.
