Oz Jet Boating, Tinas first experience

Okay, so a bit of a background check first! I’ve been the biggest scaredy cat most of my life, yep, heights, going fast, anything that was set to be a thrill was always a big no-no for me. Lee’s not so much, he has done a similar experience in Brisbane and is not a scaredy cat like me.

Okay, a background check is done!

So my first ever experience of anything like this and I’m happy I did it.

So we registered and signed the waver at the main desk, yep a waiver! Okay don’t freak out, everyone has to sign it, and it’s just in case. Just in case of what, exactly??? Okay stop this now, new brave Tina remembers, she’s fearless and loves new experiences.

Quick set up, long waterproofs on and talk about the correct way to put our life jackets! Aah, life jackets, deep breath they are there for our safety and is not a guarantee that you be bumped off the boat Tina. Lol

Eeeek okay time to get in the boat without looking like a complete idiot and falling on my arse, okay right, sitting in the floaty thing, strapped in as tightly as humanly possible, squeezing lee’s hand check! Oh god, the drivers talking, right! Listen! Okay, hold on properly, when he makes a cowboy action he’s going to spin the boat, he’s going to count down first and ask us to put our thumbs up if we’re still OK!

Right, deep breath! There’s no going back now; he’s driving away from shore, eeeeek! Hold on, yep! Okay and literally as you pass the Sydney opera house, this charming sensation came over me! Look at those stunning views, wow, just wow! I’m on a boat in the middle of Sydney harbour, and I am getting to see sights I’ve never seen before.

Swash, what… wait a second! Thump, thump, oh yeah, we’re on a jet boat Tina, you know going fast and stunts and all that.

The thump was the boat hitting the water and us bouncing off it, wow that was awesome! Ooooo and again! Oooo he’s doing the cowboy lasso thing, right arms straight hold on woooooooow O.M.F.G! Yep I just went all teenage girl on you. Screaming and everything.

Again and again, left, right, round and it was utterly awesome, and I don’t think I stopped smiling once, even when I got soaked from head to toe. Hehe

There were a few lulls, while the other boats in the harbour were going past but it just gave you time to soak in the most stunning views.

The thirty minutes just flew by and on our way back we could take selfies with the GoPro camera that was filming us. Definitely a once in a lifetime pictures.

It was awesome, and I’m so glad I got to have a fantastic experience. Once we were on shore again, we got to see the footage and purchase our souvenirs, just a tremendous experience and one I would recommend. Be brave and have a fantastic time.
